half-eaten pear

		half-eaten pear

The arrangement was no accident
but the timing was.
Three disparate objects:
	one concrete tirestop
	one folded piece of paper
	one half-eaten pear
all painted mustard yellow,
burning on blue-blacktop,
their proximity creating motion:
	moving in
	moving out
	falling...

But I wonder why
the unfinished pear
was tossed away?
Maybe it is better
to look than to taste.
