TOW AWAY ZONE

I've seen all the signs.
So familiar.
So easy to ignore.
I paint around them
and read between the lines.
I even tear some down.
But remnants remain,
posted reminders
to move along.

Trying not to picture
what they mean,
my vision falls
through the cracks,
wanting to stay.
