In 1990, Greybeard Press released a limited edition, handmade book featuring 9 (or 11) James W Johnson's original etchings to accompany the Charles Bukowski's story "Not Quite Bernadette" (from his book Hot Water Music). I have one copy of the premier, hand-colored, boxed edition that also contains the 2 hidden, "censored" etchings, one copy of the standard edition, and an assortment of artist proofs from the etchings I made and printed. |

This is the standard version I have which is identical to the special edition except it does not come in the denim box, the cover doesn't have D'Ambrosio's torn paper artwork, only the "blood drips" are hand-colored, and it doesn't include the 2 hidden, "censored" etchings: |
These are some of the artist proofs that I have which show the individual, 14" x 11" etchings better: |
